Ett George

Ett George got the idea for Angel of Mercy when she took her first database class. Her teacher talked about all the things that could be found when data mining, and Ett immediately thought…Murder!

At the time, Ett lived and worked in Washington, D.C., experiencing first-hand how political and high-stress even non-political jobs there can be. She’s since moved on to colder climes, but Cass DuMont remains in the nation’s capital…where she’s bound to be for several books to come.

Daphne J. Riordan

Daphne Riordan wrote her first novel at the age of twelve, long-hand. It was the story of a girl who had visions about an apocalypse, and her efforts to save her friends by getting them all to a magical island in the Pacific. Daphne would sit with her friends at lunch in sixth grade and write the story, because they insisted on seeing the next page as soon as possible.

Since then, she has written many other stories but never strayed too far from her love of fantastical worlds and scientific explanations. She eventually earned a Master’s in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University, with her novel Legacy of Blood as her thesis novel.

She lives in Minnesota with her cat Katniss.

Emily Sawtelle

Emily Sawtelle has been fascinated by money ever since she started getting an allowance as a child. Her interest has led her to do extensive reading on the subject. Working as a bookkeeper at one of her many jobs also helped her education.

Writing has also been a life-long passion, so the opportunity to join the two together and write about something she loves sounded perfect. Emily plans to write several more finance-related books in the Simple Money Smarts series. Stay tuned.
